Lessons Learned Along the Meditation Path

By Dana Nyholm

In April, I found this meditation path and chose to walk it. I expected it to be relaxing and calming. In fact, it was the opposite with weird angles and was uncomfortable walking. I slowed down. I began to focus on where my foot was going. I tested before I brought my weight forward and made adjustments as needed. It brought me to the present moment and when my focused wandered, any misstep would remind me. I soon realized that this was a metaphor for many paths that we take in life.
